Carter Milby. Born March 21, 1906 she departed this life May 8,1945. She was the daughter of James G. and Bird [Hawkins] Carter. On Nov. 3, 1941 she was joined in holy matrimony to James R. Milby to which union there were no children born. She leaves to mourn her going her husband, father, mother, six sisters and four brothers, namely: Mrs. Zelpher Nunn and Mrs. Ora Thompson of Illinois, Dinnie, Mable, Mary and Cleo, all of Green County, also Glin, Ozo, Vetchel of Green County, and Voncie who is over seas in the service of his country. She professed faith in Christ at the age of eighteen, and united with the Center Point Presbyterian Church where she was a faithful member until death. She bore her suffering with great patience and with a smile or a gentle word for every one who came to see her.
