McKinney was fatally injured when the car in which he was riding struck an embankment on West Columbia Avenue. Three other boys in the car - Donnie McKinney, a brother of Dennis; Ralph Cook, and David Spachman, were injured. Young McKinney was a Sophomore at Greensburg High School and was a member of the High School baseball team. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis McKinney, Greensburg. Besides his parents and brother, he is survived by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey McKinney, Louisville, and Mr. C. M. Jeffries, Greensburg. Funeral services were conducted December 29 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Rev. Jimmie Knifley and Rev. V. A. Jones officiating. Burial was in Greensburg Cemetery. Pallbearers were David DeSpain, Billie Cantrell, Larry Jones, Johnnie Horton, Stanley Davis. and Kerry Funderburk. Obituaries of Green Co. Ky.
