Jeffries, 92, who died Wed. 21 Dec at the home of her dau, Mrs. Owen Goff, Donansburg, after a long illness., Services will be in charge of Rev. Gene Puckett and Rev. T. S. Curry. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The daughter of the late John K. Thompson and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Fielding Thompson, she was born in Green County on May 3, 1863. She was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. She was united in marriage to F. M. Jeffries on May 21, 1882. He preceded her in death. To this union seven sons and two daughters were born. Surviving are two sons, Luke Jeffries, Newport, Tenn., and Tubal Jeffries, Hart County; a daughter Mrs. Owen Goff, Donansburg; 26 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Raymond Jeffries, Ralph Jeffries, Fred Goff, Lex Jeffries, Thomas Goff, Elmo Jeffries. Honorary pallbearers will ! be Curtis, Leonard, Rex, Wayne, and Terry Jeffries, Ray Goff, Dood Moran, Pete Mays and Shreve Pepper. Obituaries of Green Co.
