B. Hancock, 1031 Legion Park Road, Greensburg, was born February 1, 1903 in Green County and departed this life at 2:00 a.m. November 3 at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital. He was 71 years of age. He was a member of the Liberty Separate Baptist Church. He was retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture where he worked as a Field Representative. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Hancock: one daughter and two sons: Mrs. Juanita Berry, John Ed Hancock, and Basil Hancock, all of Greensburg; one brother: O.P. (Beck) Hancock, Greensburg; three sisters: Mrs. Exie Shuffett and Mrs. Bertha Blakeman. both of Greensburg, Mrs. Myrtle Blakeman, Buffalo, Ky.; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. The remains were at the Foster-Jones Funeral Home where services were conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 1974 with burial in the Liberty Church Cemetery. Revs. F. T. Peppers, Calvin Mouser, and Dr. Daniel Lovell officiated. Pallbearers were Wendell Hancock,! Billy C. Hancock, Donnie Hancock, Rollin Shuffett. Milton Shuffett and Garnett Hancock.
