Rev. R. A. Slinker was in charge of services, assisted by Rev. E. T. Caffee. Burial was in Greensburg Cemetery. Mrs. Jeffries was born in Green County September 17, 1903, and was a member of Russell Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Coy Jeffries; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy McKinney, Mrs. Mildred Atwell, both of Greensburg; two sons, Wallace Jeffries, Louisville, and Elwood Jeffries, Lebanon; a step-daughter, Mrs. S. E. Davis, Donansburg; five sisters, Mrs. Eva Mays and Mrs. Allie Davenport, Greensburg; Mrs. Hallie Davis and Mrs Blanche Arnett, Louisville; Mrs. Maud Hamilton, Covington; two brothers, Claud Burress, Covington, and Ed Burress, Cincinnati, Ohio; and three grandchildren.
