McAfee, son of the late Mr. James Alvie McAfee and Mrs. Myrtie Bell Gowen McAfee, was born August 28, 1917 in Green County and departed this life at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 1973 at the Kentucky Baptist Hospital in Louisville. He was 56 years, one month and 22 days of age. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Laura Friedley McAfee; two daughters: Mrs. Bonnie Jean Terhune and Mrs. Shirley A. Jones, both of Louisville; one son: , Mr. James Augustus McAfee, Louisville; four brothers: Pauley and Thomas McAfee, both of Greensburg; Cashus and Othar McAfee, both of Louisville; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
