She was 84 years, 11 months and four days of age. She had made a profession, of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church at the time of her death. She united in marriage to Mr. Melvin E. Dobson July 4, 1936, and he preceded her in death October 5, 1998. To this union was born one son, Boyce E. Dobson, Greensburg. Mrs. Dobson is survived by her daughter-in-law, Juanita Dobson; one sister: Dora Kuriger, Louisville; two grandchildren: Dwayne and Frankie Dobson, both of Greensburg, and two great-grandchildren: Brennan and Wesley Dobson of Greensburg, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers: Mathie Walker, Lora Scott, Vernie Warren, Pearl Graham, Gertie Mi! lby, Effie Vaughn, Robert Vaughn and Roy Vaughn. The funeral for Mrs. Lera Vaughn Dobson was conducted Wednesday, December 22, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Whitlow Cemetery. Rev. Dwayne Dobson and Rev. Darrell Hensley officiated. Pallbearers were Marvin Janes, Morris Dobson, Jimmy Berry, Ernie Milby, Leroy Shelton, Carlos Stearman, Steve Shillings and Larry Matherly. Obituaries of Green Co. Ky.
