Davis, dau of the late Mr. Sol Kessler, was born 18 Dec 1902, in Green Co. and departed this life at 11:45 am Thurs 6 Nov 1980 at the Suburban Hospital in Louisville, Ky. She was 77 years, 10 months, and 18 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Shively Church of God at the time of her death. She united in marriage to Mr. Dewey Davis in 1917 and he preceded her in death 27 Mar 1953. To this union was born 1 dau: Mrs. Christine Morris, Louisville. Mrs. Davis is also survived by 2 sisters and 2 brothers: Walt and Roy Kessler, Mrs. Maude Simpson and Mrs. Vallie Davis, all of Greensburg, 1 grand-dau; Mrs. Elizabeth Curry Greensburg; and 2 great-grandchildren: Lisa Curry, Louisville and Mrs. Donna Bryant, Monroe and host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of funeral services at 1 pm Sat. 8 Nov 1980 at the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church. Burial was in the Oa! k Grove Cem. The Rev. Lonnie Gable and the Rev. Robert Smith officiated. Pallbearers were: Leon Davis, Herman Davis, Kenneth Benningfield, Stanley Parnell, James Wallace, and Lawton Davis. Obituaries of Green Co.
