He was retired from LaRue County Board of Education, was a former policeman for the City of Hodgenville, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Marie [Burton] Curry, in 1972, and also four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Diane Powell Curry; four daughters, Jean Stargel of Columbia, Judy Bailey of Shelbyville, Indiana, Beverly Veirs of Hodgenville, and Sondra Altman of Greensburg; one step-daughter, Sissy Howell of Buffalo; four sons, Ralph Curry and Steve Curry, both of Columbia, Terry Curry of Richmond, and Gary Curry of Greensburg; one stepson, Lane Howell of Hodgenville; 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren; two sisters, Fannie Pendleton and Edna Curry, both of Columbia. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 11, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Rev. Darrell Hensley officiating. Burial was in Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville.
