Gore, 83 who died at her home on Jackson Street after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage on Thursday, June 23. She was born in Green County, March 2, 1883 the daughter of Thomas Caven and Dora Sidebottom. Mrs. Gore was first married to Ben Lee Carter who died in 1934. She then married Mr. Cyrus L. Gore who survives. Other survivors include her children; J. A. Carter, and Veachel Carter both of Campbellsville. Stepdaughter, Mrs. Barella Lee, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Nannie Bett Wade, Louisville and Mrs. Eudora Womack of Greensburg and one brother, Homer Caven of Kansas. Lyon Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements and services were held in the chapel with the Rev. Ben R. Wood officiating. Mrs. Gore was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Pallbearers were Wilson Durham, Richard Jeter, Boyce Curry, Clyde Crittenden, Charlie Bremmelhause and Dennis Smith. Intermen! t was in Shilo Cemetery. Obituaries of Green Co.
