Author: Karen_Jorgensen Surnames: Gaddie Classification: obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.kentucky.counties.green/17673/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Emmitt Ray Gaddie, 48, who lived on the Pleasant Valley Road in Green Co., was killed Saturday at about 10:45 p.m. when the car he was driving collided with another auto 7.3 miles West of Campbellsville. The driver of the other vehicle was Daniel Gaddis, 19, of 112 Pine St., Campbellsville. Trooper Don Patterson, who investigated the accident, reported that the '61 Ford being driven by Emmitt Gaddie was traveling East on 210 when his car left the road on the south side and then came across the road and was in an angled position on the wrong side of the road when it was struck in the side by the Westbound 1967 Pontiac driven by Daniel Gaddis. According to Patterson, Gaddis' vision was obscured by a curve immediately before striking the other car. Passengers in the Gaddis car were Randall McVay, 18, of 215 Western Drive and Billy Ray Perkins, 18, of Rt. 3, Campbellsville. All were taken to the Taylor County Hospital.
