He was the son of Samuel P. and Emily Hood. At the age of 27 he was married to Judy Sullivan and to this union three children were born, two of which with his wife preceded him in death. William B. Hood survives. In 1904 he was again married to Viola Lile and to this union six children were born. Mrs. R. R. Slucher, Mrs. Robert D. Gibbs, Mrs. Sarah H. Marcum, Celo and Elizabeth and Ellis Hood. Also surviving are one brother, W. G. Hood of Logansport, Ind., four grandchildren, and his wife to mourn his passing. He professed faith at an early age and united with the Macedonia Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. V. A. Jones at the Bethlehem Church and burial was in the cemetery there. Pallbearers were Chester Judd, Tom Judd, H. G. Bagby and Dee Berry.
