Neagle, 57, son of the late Arthur A. Neagle and Mrs. Emma Martin Neagle, was born April 2, 1921, in Green County, and departed this life July 15, 1978, at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. He was a former substitute Route - mail carrier for 30 years and a member of the Soil Conservation Board. Mr. Neagle was a World War II veteran, member of the American Legion ,Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F. & A. M., and Lebanon Council and Marion Commandry #24. Mr. Neagle was united in marriage on September 3, 1953, to Ruth Warren, who survives. Also surviving is his mother, Mrs. Emma Martin Neagle, of Greensburg; two brothers: Alton E. Neagle I and Thurman Neagle, both of Greensburg; one nephew: Alton E. Neagle II. One sister, Gwendola Neagle, preceded her brother in death on January 15, 1978. Funeral services were conducted at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home at 10 ! a.m. CDST, Monday, July 17, by Rev. Eutre Hammett and Rev. William Karnes. Burial was in the Greensburg Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ralph Cowherd, Jim Durham, Charlie McDaniel, Denver Wells, Leon Thompson, and Clelland Moore. Obituaries of Green Co.
