He had been in ill health for the past 2 years. Funeral services will be held today (Friday) at 3 o'clock at Brush Creak Baptist Church and interment will be in Perkins cemetery. Rex Burly Cantrell will be in charge of the services, assisted by Rev. Noble Cottrell. The son of the late Mrs. Het Touen and William Elmore, he was born in Green County March 21, 1873. He professed faith in Christ early in life and united with the Summersville Baptist Church where he remained a member until death. He had been in ill health for the past two years. He was united in marriage to Miss Mary Marcum 57 years ago and to this union 9 daughters and 6 sons were born. Two daughters preceded him in death, Linda in infancy and Bertha who died 11 years ago. Surviving are 7 daughters, Mrs. Arthur Marcum, Louisville, Mrs. George Ratliff, Buda, IL, Mrs. Ellis Underwood, Princeton, IL., Mrs. Virgle Elmore, Mrs. Howard Curry, Mrs. Dennis Milby! , Mrs. Raymond Pittman, all of Green County, and 6 sons. Eddie, Clay, Roman, Truman, Ervie Elmore, Green County. Also surviving are one brother, Claudie Elmore, Green County, and one sister, Mrs. Heddie Hedgespeth, Illinois; two half brothers, Weddie Elmore, Illinois and Hestil Elmore, Nebraska, 36 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Virgle Larimore, Howard Hodges, Johnnie Fields, Claude Shofner, Ruby Ratliff and Thurman Milby. Obituaries of Green Co. Ky.
