Son of the late James Beckham and Lela May Acree Bagby, he was born in Green County on Dec. 17, 1926. He was a member of Greasy Creek Baptist Church and Bullitt Masonic Lodge #155 in Shepherdsville, Ky. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was married to Mildred Dean "Billie" Clark Bagby on Dec. 17, 1948. She survives. Survivors also include a daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Harold Smith of Colorado; two brothers and sisters, Vernon and Elva Jo Bagby of Greensburg, Ky. and J.R. and Clydene Bagby of Campbellsville; a sister, Lassie Mae Bagby Schmidt of Campbellsville; a brother-in-law, Eugene Mosz of Greensburg; a sister-in-law, Shirley Bagby of Greensburg; two grandchildren, Julie Abbot of Maryland and Kristen and Bill Golden of Colorado; and two great-grandchildren, Michael Golden and Morgan Golden of Colorado. In addition to his parent! s, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Bagby and Ellis Bagby; and a sister, Dimple Mosz. Masonic services were Monday, April 21 by the Greensburg Lodge #54 F & AM. Funeral was Tuesday, April 22 at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg. The Rev. Landon Hadley officiated. Burial, with full military honors, was in Greasy Creek Cemetery in the Exie community of Green County. Pallbearers were Bob McCrary, Carlos Houk, Harold Smith, Jackie Bagby, John Tyler Bagby and Dan Weber. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
