Hodges, formerly of Greensburg, Ky. and brother of Mrs. W. J. Ashbrook, died July 21 at his home in Rockville Centre, Long Island. Mr. Hodges had been a resident of Rockville Centre, Long Island for 40 years. He was editor of "The Nassau Daily Review-Star," the first daily newspaper on Long Island. He was past president of the New York State Society of Newspaper Editors, and served as president of the Nassau County Historical Society from 1960 to 1964. He was a director of the Nassau County Museum, a past president of the Rockville Centre Luncheon Club and was Village Historian. Mr. Hodges was a 1924 graduate of the University of Kentucky. He served as a reporter on the Lexington Herald from 1923 to 1925. He is survived by his wife, Glen Talmadge Hodges, a son Arthur L. Hodges, Jr., a daughter, Glenda Hodges, a grandson, Thomas Hodges and two sisters, Mrs. W. J. Ashbrook, Greensburg and Mrs. R. W. Jones of Lexington. Obituaries of Green Co.
