She was born in Taylor County, June 14, 1897. She died at the St. Joseph Infirmary in Louisville at 10:00 a. m., Monday, June 19th. She professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the St. Mark's Methodist Church. She taught in the Taylor County School System for a number of years. She united in marriage to Mr. Willard E. Johnson, January 20, 1920. He preceded her in death, September 23, 1945. To this union four sons and two daughters were born; Mr. Harry Johnson of Cincinnati, Ohio; Mr. Charles Johnson of Louisville; Mr. James R. Johnson of Franklin, Ky.; Mr. Earl Johnson of Leland, Illinois; Mrs. Bill (Annie) Dozier and Mrs. George (Alma) Stanford both of Louisville. Besides her children, she is also survived by eight grandchildren; and two brothers: Mr. Leonard Hill and Mrs.! Edwin Hill both of Hinckley, Illinois. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 21, at 2 p. m. at the St. Mark's Methodist Church by Rev. George Phillips. Burial was in the Saloma Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Wilson Thompson, Robert Bryant, Kenneth Durham, Elmer White, Raymond Rivers and Carl Risen. Obituaries of Green Co.
