Daughter of the late Isaac Landis and Vara Squires Landis, she was born on Oct. 3, 1920, in Green County, Ky. She was a member of Christ Church United Methodist in Louisville. She was a former executive secretary for United States government working with the Girdler Corporation, office manager for Hatten, Toadvine and Co., CPAs, and was a former member of St. Matthews Women's Club and various civic and business organizations. She was married to Charles R. Hatton on July 30, 1955. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2006. Survivors include two sisters, Elois Landis Landrum and Norma Jean Pearce, both of Louisville; and 11 nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Skaggs and Delia Paxton. The family chose cremation. Memorial service was Saturday, April 26 at Christ Church United Methodist. Gravesid! e service Saturday, April 26 at Summershade Cemetery in Green County. Col. William M. Landrum III officiated. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg was in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Christ Church United Methodist or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
