The funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17 at Cain Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Paddock officiating. Burial was in Mason City cemetery. The deceased was born Sept. 16, 1893 in Green County, Ky. a daughter of Alfred and Birdie George Neagle. She was married to Righteous Hancock of Green County, Sept. 4, 1911 at Cape Valley, Ky. Surviving are her husband: two daughters, Mrs. Vera Hurt, Decatur, IL.; and Mrs. Violet McCreery, Mason City; two brothers: Coakley Neagle, Pratt, Kan.; and Arthur Neagle, Greensburg, Ky.; three half brothers: Haley Neagle, Columbia, Ky.; Lee Neagle, Radcliff, Ky., and Dillon Neagle, New York; one half sister: Mrs. June Higgason, Greensburg, Ky.; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Hancock was a member of the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Green County. Obituaries of Green Co.
