He died at 9:43 a.m. Sunday, November 8, in Elizabethtown. He was 77 years of age. He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the College Heights United Methodist Church. He was a retired bulldozer operator. He united in marriage to Evey Rasner February 11, 1944. Besides his wife, Evey Burris of Elizabethtown, he is survived by son and daughter-in-law and daughter and son-in-law. Barry L. and Linda Burris of Mt. Washington and Sharon and Gilbert Clark of Campbellsville; three granddaughters: Shannon McGinley of Indianapolis, Merica Clark of Campbellsville, and Aftan Burris of Mt. Washington; two great-grandchildren: Christopher McGinley and Brittany McGinley of Indianapolis; one brother and two sisters: Garnett Burris of Campbellsville, Hilda Holmes of Louisville, and Bell Marie Keltner of Col! umbia; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters: Ray Burris, Gilbert Burris, Coakley Burris, Barbara Ann Simpson and Catherine Holmes. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 10, at the Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev. Bob Graham. Burial was in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Ernie Burris, Jeff Burris, Phillip Burris, Steve Burris, Edgar Holmes, Jr., and Carolyn Keltner. Obituaries of Green Co.
