He was 74 years and 15 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church at the time of his death. Mr. Bagby was a milk hauler for a number of years and worked for the Department of Transportation until his retirement. He united in marriage to the former Shirley Dobson on November 8, 1986, who survives. He is also survived by two sons and one daughter: Jimmy Dale Bagby, Louisville; Jackie Wayne Bagby, Greensburg, and Joanna Lee McCubbins, Summersville; three step-children: Sherry Bloyd, Gayle Edmonds and Billy Bloyd, all of Summersville; four brothers: Ellis and Vernon Bagby, both of Greensburg; Rupert and J.R. Bagby, both of Campbellsville; two sisters: Pinkie "Dimple" Mosz, Greensburg, and Lassie Schmidt, Campbellsvill! e; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild; five step-grandchildren; his mother-in-law , Beatrice "Mother Bea" Dobson, Summersville, and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral for Mr. James Bagby was conducted Tuesday, June 2, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Greasy Creek Cemetery. Rev. Wilburn Bonta and Rev. Gary Duckett officiated. Active pallbearers were T.J. Hodges, Roy McCubbin, Billy Skaggs, William Earl Berry, Dale Houk, Terry Marr, Michael Price and Kelvin Ford. Honorary pallbearers were Jeff Bradshaw, Paul Ennis, Ann Henderson, Junior Johnson, Steve Curry, Steve Hartfield, Robbie Houk and Tony Judd. Obituaries of Green Co.
