Buchanan, 63, retired business man, and father of Mrs. Russell Lowe, Greensburg, died at his home in Campbellsville last Thursday. He. had been in ill health the past year. He had owned and operated the Buchanan Electric Shop and appliance firm there since 1934 until he became ill about a year ago. In early life he was employed as a clerk for the Louisville & Nashville Railroad. Buchanan had been a deacon in the Campbellsville Presbyterian. Church for the past several years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Chevuront Buchanan; two sons, Robert Buchanan; New Albany, Ind., and Thomas Buchanan in the Navy; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Gaye Lowe, Greensburg, and Mrs. James Routin, Indianapolis; a brother, James Buchanan, Campbellsville, and a sister, Mrs. Elvira Caskey, Denver. Funeral services were held at the Campbellsville Presbyterian church. Obituaries of Green Co.
