"Bobby" Gentry of Green County, son of the late Robert Leslie Gentry and Mary Helen Moran Gentry, was born April 14, 1940 in Green County and departed this life Monday, Feb. 11, 2008 at his home. He was 67 years, nine months and 28 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church of the Nolynn Association and attended Monroe Baptist Church. He was a self-employed construction worker and produce farmer. He united in marriage Nov. 30, 1957 to Betty Jean Lowe, who survives. Other survivors include a son: Kevin Scott Gentry and his girlfriend Tammy Walker, both of Edmonton; two sisters: Mildred Perkins of Horse Cave and Marie Compton of Campbellsville; a brother: Clell Gentry of Greensburg and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral services for Gentry were conducted Feb. 15 at Cowherd and Parrott funeral Home with burial in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Jim Goff and Bro. Danny ! Riggs officiated.
