Author: Karen_Jorgensen Surnames: Beams, Underwood, Risen, Classification: obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.kentucky.counties.green/17463/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Mrs. Gladys Beams, daughter of the late Mr. Logan Underwood and Mrs. Ermine Risen Underwood, was born February 13, 1912, in Taylor County and departed this life Sunday, September 20, 1998, at the Medco Nursing Home in Campbellsville. She was 86 years, seven months and seven days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Roberts Baptist Church at the time of her death. She united in marriage to Mr. Arvin Beams on December 31, 1930, and he preceded her in death March 6, 1988. To this union were born two sons: Vernon and James Beams, both of Campbellsville. She is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral for Mrs. Gladys Beams was conducted Wednesday, September 23, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Rev. Otis Skaggs officiated. Pallbearers were Mickey Underwood, Jason Beams, Kevin Mings, Chris Thompson, Billy M! iiby and Russell Skaggs. Obituaries of Green Co. Ky.
