She was 89 years, three months and 18 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Holly Grove Baptist Church at the time of her death. She was a former employee of the American Needlecraft. She united in marriage to Mr. Lonnie Whitlow May 6, 1928, and he preceded her in death on December 15, 1997. Mrs. Whitlow is survived by one brother and one sister: Leonard Lewis, Summersville; and Mrs. Beatrice Dobson , Greensburg; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers: Mattie Maurine Dobson, January 7, 1994; Lee, Bub and Lonnie Lewis. The funeral for Mrs. Elsie May Lewis Whitlow was conducted Thursday, June 10, at the Cowh! erd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Summersville Memory Gardens. Rev. Leslie Jewell officiated. Pallbearers were Arvil Stearman, Carlos Stearman, Jerry Rattliff, Morris Dobson, Boyce Edward Dobson and Roger Skaggs. Obituaries of Green Co. Ky.
