Curry, son of the late Mr. Gene Henry Curry and Mrs. Idella Pierce Curry, was born December 21, 1918, in Green County and departed this life on Saturday, May 9,1998, at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. He was 79 years, four months and 18 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church. He united in marriage to Miss Magdalene Rose in February, 1940, who preceded him in death on February 27, 1996. To this union were born three sons and one daughter: Bobby Gene Curry, Boyd Thomas Curry, Linda Lane Mitchell and Dennis Royce Curry, all of Greensburg. He is also survived by his sister: Dulcie Judd of Greensburg; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral services were held Monday, May 11, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Greasy Creek Cemetery. Rev. Wilburn Bonta and Rev. Mark Lile officiated. Active pall! bearers were Morris Goff, Holland Patterson, Earl Judd, Glen Landis, Missy Landis, Sam McKinney, Grover McKinney, Chester Meadows, Daniel Matney and Mitzie Heath. Honorary pallbearers were R.C. Davis, Davis Rose, Rex Keltner, Stanley Simpson, Ralph Mills, Bobby Bennett, Chunk Clark, Rex Houk, Tommy Adkins, Jackie Rose, Voris Whitlock, Vernon Houk and Wendell Curry. Obituaries of Green Co.
