He was 71 years of age, He was the son of the late Frank and Minnie Calhoun. He was born August 8, 1928. He professed his faith in Christ at an early age and joined the 2nd Baptist Church in Greensburg. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He leaves to cherish his memory six sons: Max Calhoun, Georgetown, Frank Calhoun IL, (Frankie). and Andre Calhoun (Patricia), Greensburg, Eric Calhoun, Indianapolis, Indiana, Mark Calhoun, Lexington, Cecil Calhoun, Louisville; three daughters, Beverly and Diniah Calhoun, Louisville, and Terry Calhoun Mitchell (James), Aurora. Illinois; one daughter-in-law, one son-in-law, nineteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Clifford Dawson, Brooklyn, New York, and Ms. Margaret Gaddie, Campbellsville; his best friend and grandson, Lance Corporal Billy B. Gartin (Bud), North Carolina, several nieces and nephews, a host ! of relatives, friends and a very close friend and a neighbor, Mr. Junior Barnett. Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 21, at Greensburg Second Baptist Church with burial in the Greensburg Community Cemetery. Rev. Ricky Brewer and Rev. Lewis Henry officiated over the service. The Warren F. Toler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Active pallbearers were Billy Gartin, Frankie Calhoun, Eric Calhoun, Mark Calhoun, Max Calhoun, Andre Calhoun, Mario Calhoun and Cecil Calhoun. Honorary pallbearers were Junior Barnett, Arzo Miller, Joe Bridgewater and Howard Miller. Flower girls were 2nd Baptist women. Obituaries of Green Co.
