He had been in ill health for several years. Services were conducted by Reverend Leon Larimore assisted by Reverend D. L. Druien, at the Aetna Grove Church and burial was in the church cemetery. The son of Robert and Mary E. Osborne Scott, he was born November 24, 1878. In 1903 he married Daisy Lillian Whitlow and to this union 5 children were born. He was a member of the Holly Grove Baptist Church at the time of his death. Besides his wife he is survived by 2 sons, Claud Elliott and William Vester and 3 daughters Josie Elizabeth, Flora Lee and Opha. Also surviving are 3 sisters, Josephine, Mary, and Emma, and 4 brothers, Walter, Charlie, Jeff and Ben J.
