Bartley, 77, of Springfield, Ohio, died Wednesday evening, August 25, in Mercy Medical Center. She was born August 15, 1922, in Summersville, the daughter of Thomas Shipley and Lena Milby Penick. Mrs. Bartley was employed at W.T. Grant Company for 20 years and retired from Super-X Drugs. Her survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Veronica and Danny Kidder of Springfield, Ohio; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Rodger and Janet Bartley of Tiffin, Ohio, Tom and Lisa Bartley of Waverly, Ohio, Steve Bartley of Florida, Phil and Roxie Bartley of Springfield, Ohio; one sister and brother-in-law, Maye and Rollin Buckner of Kentucky; one brother and sister-in-law, Charlie and Genevia Penick of Kentucky; fourteen grandchildren, Cindy, Greg, Tina, Kirn, Michelle, Rodger, Dane, Brandy, Joe, Shane, Dustin, Lathan, Anissa and Brett; seven great-grandchildren, Amy, Elizabeth, Krista, Emily, Mikaya, Cody and Amanda; one great-great-grandchild, Alec; and several nieces a! nd nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Jennie Snyder; two brothers, Pat Penick and Buck Penick; a granddaughter, Amanda, and one great-granddaughter, Melissa. A gathering of family and friends was held in the Littleton & Rue Funeral Home, Springfield, Ohio, on Sunday, August 29, from 2-5 p.m. Funeral services were held in the funeral home Monday, August 30, at 10 a.m. Burial was in the Ferncliff Cemetery.
