Sherman, died Friday, October 2, 1998, at Mt. Sherman. He was a retired police officer for the Indialantic Police Department, Indialantic, Florida, and a fireman. He was a member of the Louisville Fire Department, Louisville, Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, Green County, and Gavel Masonic Lodge 813, Magnolia. Survivors include his wife, Priscilla (Asp) Vandgrift; one daughter, Jennifer Jackson; three sons: Jason Jackson, Danyaun R. and Dennis B. Vandgrift; his mother and father, Noris Vandgrift and Thomas Vandgrift; two brothers: Donnie and Brian Vandgrift; two sisters: Janet L. Winders and Tommie Jo Smith; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, October 5, at Owen Funeral Home with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West Louisville. Obituaries of Green Co. Ky.
