She was born January 16, 1924, to the late Horace Robert (Buck) and Icy Pearl Thornton in Green County. She was 74 years, three months, two weeks and seven days of age. She professed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Jacob Grove Baptist Church where she was a faithful member until her health failed. She is survived by three sisters: Margie Mitchell, Mary Miller, of Greensburg, and Nora Thornton of Indianapolis, Indiana; one brother, James (Mann) Thornton of Greensburg; three aunts and one uncle, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Her father, mother and two brothers preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Monday, May 11, at the Jacob Grove Baptist Church with burial in the Green County Memory Gardens. Rev. Walter Johnson officiated over the service with music provided by the church choir. Pallbearers were Tyrone Miller, Greg Thornton, Reginal Miller, Donnie William! s, Junior Barnett and Billy Mitchell. Flower girls were Bridgett Miller, Pam Miller, Elmira Thornton, Tracy Thornton, Candace Thornton, Precilla Thornton and Kay Calhoun. The Warren F.
