He was 70 years and 17 days of age. He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Houk's Chapel Methodist Church at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Una L. Slinker Houk and one son, James Gathan Houk, Valley Station, Ky. He is also survived by one half-brother, Mr. Henry Ennis, Louisville; one grandson: James Larry Houk, Florida; and one great-grandson, James Steve Houk, Florida. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 14, 1967 at 1 p.m. at the Houk's Chapel Methodist Church with burial in the Rayburn Cemetery. Transcribed by Wanda Bagby Carlson for Karen Jorgensen.
