He was 76 years and 17 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ. He had been a Ky. Colonel since April 5, 1968. He united in marriage to Miss Lova Higgason on February 4, 1939, who survives. To this union were born two daughters, Betty Jo Kurcbaum, Boca Raton, Florida, and Rebecca Gorin, Campbellsville. Mr. Altman is also survived by six brothers: Olyn, Edwin, Christopher "Hut" and Leon Altman, all of Greensburg; Sam Altman, Illinois, and Estell Altman, Scottsville; one sister, Virginia Patterson, Louisville, one grandson, Edward Wayne Gorin, Greensburg, and a host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, with burial in the Greensburg C! emetery. Rev. Bill Reed, Rev. Herman Wilkins and Rev. Larry Wisdom officiated. Active pallbearers were Eddie Gorin, Doug Shive, Billy Gordon Wright, Calvin Bennett, Bobby Gilpin and James Huff. Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie Hardin, Raymond Pendleton, R.B. Wright, Joe Price, Leonard Holmes and Fuller Harding. Obituaries of Green Co. Ky.
