He was a native of Hart County, a retired farmer and a member of the Monroe Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a son of the late Willie and Maggie McFelia Turner. His wife, Hazel [Whitlow] Turner, survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Ernestine Lewellyn of Oakwood, Illinois, Eva Mae Meadows of Louisville, and Marie Holley of Horse Cave; two sons, Bobby Joe Turner of Greensburg and Denzil Turner of Monroe; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Ethel Turner of Louisville, Mary Joiner Ross of Bowling Green, and Lovey Bale of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 14, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial in the Whickerville Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be in the form of donations to the American Heart Association. Obituaries of Green Co.
