The funeral service was held 23 Oct at the Allendale Baptist Church with the Revs. B.L. Cantrell, Clarence Dishon, and Reynolds in charge. Burial was in the Perkins cem. Near Lobb. Thompson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pearlie Hall Thompson, a son, Richard Herman Thompson, Louisville; a dau, Mrs. Mathis Lee Underwood, Louisville; father and stepmother; Mr. And Mrs. E.F. Thompson; 5 brothers: E.E. Thompson, D.T. Thompson, A.F. Thompson, H.G. Thompson and J.G. Thompson; 2 sisters, Mrs. Mr. E. Cantrell and Mrs. Ernest Milby, and 3 stepbrothers, Virgil Clayton, and Cecil Walker. Pallbearers at the funeral were his nephews, Ivo and Travis Cantrell, Walter Thompson, and James, Clell and Charley Hall. Flower girls were Misses Orilla Irland, Lol Jacobs, Margie Bell, Cleo Judd, Corene Bale, Marie Dobson, Deloria Jean Milby, Imogene Walker, and LaVerne, Ruby, Barb! ara and Shirley Thompson.
