Anderson, son of Mrs. Margie Mae Garrett Anderson of Letcher County, Kentucky, and the late Mr. Martin Arron Anderson, was born March 11, 1948, in Letcher County and departed this life on Tuesday, November 9, 1999, at his home in Greensburg. He was 51 years, seven months and 29 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Christian Church. He was also a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served in the United States Army. He was also a member of the Greensburg American Legion Rod Lowe Post 124 and the Disabled American Veterans (Louisville Chapter). He united in marriage to Miss Rebecca Yates on March 16, 1966, who survives. To this union were born two sons: Bobby L. Anderson II and Richard Todd Anderson, both of Greensburg. He is also survived by one grandson: Christopher Alan Anderson of Greensburg; one step-grandson: Jake Thomas Craven of Greensburg; four brothers and seven sisters: Kenneth Anderson of Arizona, ! Martin A. Anderson of Indiana, Eugene Anderson of Greensburg, Paul Dean Anderson of Ohio, Nadine Niebert, Peggy Madden, Imogene Bullion, Edan Carol Austin, Betty Sue Gross, Marsha Anderson, all of Letcher County, and Lena Cobb of West Virginia; and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral services for Mr. Bobby L. Anderson were conducted Friday, November 12, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Green County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Bro. Jimmy Knifley and Bro. Les Bullock officiated. Military rites were conducted at the graveside by the Taylor County D.A.V. Chapter #70. Pallbearers were Harry Kessler, Shorty Bloyd, Eddie Durham, Lynuell Houk, Ronnie G. Milby, Billy Jo Lowe, Bill Bonta and Vernon Henderson. Obituaries of Green Co.
