Vaughn, 73, died at a Hospital in Southboro, Mass., Sat., 7 Jan [1956] following an extensive illness. The son of the late John R. And Mrs. Pern Fannie Vaughn, he was born in Greensburg, Ky., in 1883. He was united in marriage to Jessie Buchanan in 1907. She preceded him in death 21 Dec 1955. Mr. Vaughn had been away from Greensburg about 38 years. During most of this time he had made his home in Michigan. He is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. W.J. Norton and Mrs. J.M. Carmon and 2 grandchildren, all of Southboro, Mass; 2 brothers, Clayton J. Vaughn, Greensburg, Ky., and Cecil D.
