He was born in Green County on April 17, 1944, to the late James William Thompson and Jessie Elma Gowen Thompson. He is survived by his mother, Jessie Thompson, of Greensburg; two brothers, Gleason Alton Thompson Jr. of Greensburg and Michael Wayne Thompson of Greensburg; one nephew, Nicholas Thompson of Campbellsville. He was preceded in death by one brother, Gleason Alton Thompson, and one sister, Kelly Lynn Thompson. He was a Vietnam veteran and served in the U.S. Army from 1963-1966. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 21, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Horne with burial in the Gowen Cemetery. Rev. Warren F. Toler officiated over the service. Pallbearers were Gleason Thompson, Michael Thompson, Tim Hollins, Tim Carlisle, Doug Davenport and Ernest Price. Obituaries of Green Co. Ky.
