She was born Oct. 25, 1915, in Athens, the daughter of James Howard and Julia Chandler Allen. She married Walter Wayne Beams Oct. 1, 1936 in Petersburg, and he survives. Also surviving are her mother of Springfield; four daughters, Mrs. Walt (Darlene) Stinebaker and Mrs. James (Judy) Henke, both of Springfield and Mrs. Floyd (Juanita) Shimchick of Winchester and Mrs. Wiley (Cheryl) Preston of Murrayville; three brothers, Harold Allen of South Gate, Calif., John Allen of Santa Ana, California. and Thomas Allen of Springfield; three sisters, Mary Martin of Sherman and June Sullivan and Anne Duncan, both of Springfield; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister and two grandchildren. She was a member of the Hillview Baptist Church. Services will be held at 2 p m. Monday at the Hillview Baptist Church. Interm! ent will be in Pine Tree Cemetery at Patterson. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Mackey-Daws Funeral Home in Roodhouse.
