Taylor, son of the late Mr. Linzie C. Taylor and Mrs. Roberta Adeline "Bert" Blakeman Taylor, was born September 16, 1913, in Green County and departed this life on Sunday, January 25, 1998, at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville. He was 84 years, four months and nine days of age. He was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the United States Navy Seabees. He united in marriage to Miss Estelle Bridgewater on January 4 1948, who preceded him in death on May 10, 1979. To this union was born one daughter: Martha Page Houk of Greensburg. He is also survived by a son-in-law: Maxie Houk of Greensburg; a granddaughter and grandson-in-law: Amy Houk Bishop and Brian Bishop of Louisville; a grandson and granddaughter-in-law: Charlie Houk and Regina Arnett Houk of Greensburg; three nieces, three nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral services for Mr. L.C. Taylor were conducted Wednesday, January 28, at the Cowherd and Parrott Fu! neral Home with burial in the Neagle Cemetery. Bill Moore and Rev. John Blakey officiated. There were military rites at the cemetery by the Greensburg American Legion Post #124 Color Guard. Active pallbearers were Jerry Arnett, Carlos Mays, Cotton Tucker, Jimmy Coakley, Frankie Froggett, Mitchell Hudgins, Clinton Kelly, Danny Atwood, Mike McKinney and Sid Bowling.
