Dobson, 86, son of the late Mr. Washington Dobson and Mrs. Margaret Perkins Dobson, was born April 30, 1885 in Green County and departed this life at 7 P.M., Wednesday, January 12, 1972 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at the time of his death. He united in marriage to Miss Lois Effie Thompson, who preceded him in death October 7, 1970. To this union were born one son and two daughters: Jesse Dobbin, Greensburg; Mrs. Mildred Duval and Mrs. Margie Higgason, both of Greensburg. Mr. Dobson is also survived by five grandchildren: Larry Duval, California; Linda Duval, Greensburg; Gary and Sharon Higgason, Greensburg; and Simone Dobson, Greensburg. Funeral services were conducted at 10 A.M. (CST) Friday, January 14, 1972 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Revs. Bobby Richerson and Thurman Eato! n officiated. Pallbearers were A.A. Durrett, James Kelly, W.C. Bell, Howard Hodges, T. J. Gorin, Jr., and Charlie Akin.
