He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church at the time of his death. Mr. Mays is survived by one sister, Mrs. Nora Montgomery, Magnolia. Also surviving are: 5 nieces and nephews: Sherrill Mays, Galveston, Texas; Edwin Montgomery, Louisville; LeRoy Montgomery, Kalamazoo, Michigan; Hallie Wolff, Louisville; and Laverne Jackson of Paducah. Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 11, 1971 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Hamilton Cemetery. Rev. C. T. Ratliff officiated.
