According to reports Akin apparently lost control of the Motor cycle on a curve. He was dead on arrival at the Rosary Hospital, in Campbellsville with a broken neck and severe cuts. Bruce was born and reared in the Sparksville community and belonged to a prominent family, being a son of L. Akin. His wife survives him. Besides his wife and father he is survived by two brothers, George Akin and John Lee Akin, both of Columbia, and one sister, Mrs. Gordon Wheeler, of Sparksville. Obituaries of Green Co. Ky.
