Author: Karen_Jorgensen Surnames: Combs, Felts, tucker Classification: obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.kentucky.counties.green/17515/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Mrs. Evelyn Felts of Elkton; Ky., received a telegram on December 12th that her brother, Oscar Combs, who made his home here with Rob Tucker for several years, had met an untimely death in Japan. Many readers of The Record-Herald will remember Combs as the be little orphan boy who liven with Rob Tucker from the age of nine to 16. He was with the Armed Forces and was sent bank to Japan the latter part of October. He had been in service for his country about 15 years and had attained the rank of Master Sergeant. Last Thursday Mrs. Felts received a second telegram stating that his body would arrive in her home town of Elkton on January 7, and on January 8th he was laid to rest in the Elkton Cemetery with impressive ceremonies by Fort Campbell soldiers and a Chaplain from Nashville, Tenn, in charge of the burial services.
