He had been in ill health for some time. Funeral services were held at Sulphur Well Methodist Church on Thurs with the pastor and Rev. J.W. Rayburn officiating. Burial was in the Neale cemetery. Surviving are 2 sons, Willie Porter and Babe Porter, both of Sulphur Well; 3 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. His wife, Mrs. Nannie Burton Porter, died in Apr 1948. Obituaries of Green Co. Ky.
