He was born April 11, 1911, in Green County, the son of the late James Thomas and Sarah Frances Chaudoin Price. He was a farmer and a member of the Hodges Chapel United Methodist Church. He had lived in Green County all his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Elaine Killen Price, and his son, Fred Franklin Price. He is survived by two sons: Jesse Ray Price of Atlanta, Georgia, and James W. "Bud" Price of Summersville; one brother, Farlon Price of Summersville, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 10, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home with burial in the Hodges Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Lester B. Carter and Rev. Warren F. Toler officiated over the service with the Durrett Family Singers providing the music. Pallbearers were Bill Whitlow, Charlie Hall, Michael Pric! e, Frank Price, Tom Cecil and Holland Hedgespeth.
