Perry, 84, a native of Rowletts, Ky., and an uncle of Charlie and Leonard Perry, Greensburg, died last week at St. Mary's Hospital, Port Arthur, Texas, He was taken to the hospital after he suffered a stroke. Mr. Perry was the caretaker of the First Christian Church there. He was the only surviving charter member of Carpenters Local 610, which was organized there some 55 years ago. He had lived in Port Arthur since 1901. He was one of two surviving charter members of the First Christian Church which was formed in 1903. He had been caretaker of the church since retirement as a carpenter 14 years ago. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ida Jane Perry of Port Arthur, Texas; one brother, John Perry of Horse Cave, Ky., and a large number of nieces and nephews. Obituaries of Green Co.
