He was a resident of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born June 7, 1924, in Greensburg. His parents were Lester and Lillian (Bloyd) Simpson. He married Genevieve (McMahan) Simpson on October 30, 1943, in Greensburg. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Larry Simpson of Fishers, Indiana, Earnie Simpson of Indianapolis, Indiana; three brothers, Gearon Simpson, Bill Simpson and Homer Simpson, all of Greensburg; a sister, Vera Tucker of Greensburg; five grandchildren; one step-granddaughter and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ogdon Simpson, and a sister, Mildred Neagle. He was owner/operator for 51 years of Skip's Food Market in the Fountain Square Area in Indianapolis, Indiana. He enjoyed wood working and gardening. A service was conducted Friday, January 7, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel. Burial was in t! he Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
