Daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Polly Ann Rayburn Wright, she was born on March 20, 1911, in Green County. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Campbellsville and was a former restaurant owner. She was married to O.F. Hatcher, who preceded her in death in 1953. She later married Oscar Atherton on Jan. 10, 1955. He preceded her in death on July 7, 2001. Survivors include a daughter, Geneva Moran of Shreveport, La.; a son, Josh Albert Hatcher of Greensburg; three grandchildren, Jennifer Hatcher of Gwinn, Mich., Joy Hatcher-Schneider and her husband, James, of Greensburg and Larry Moran of Shreveport; four great-grandchildren, Jackie Cochran of Hollywood, Fla., Chelly VanSlykes of Indiana and Megan and Ethan Branham, both of Utah; a great-great- grandchild, Kyler Brooklyn Cochran of Hollywood; eight nieces, Billie Russell of Campbells! ville, Elizabeth MacLamore of Bowling Green, Ky., Dorothy Sloan of Bonnieville, Ky., Rebecca Judd of Indiana, Agnes Ann Beard of Ohio, Judy Miller of Florida, Betty Rose Rease of New Albany, Ind., and Mildred Miller of Indiana; and four nephews, James Cook of Bowling Green, Harold Wright of Utah, William Ferrell of Knifley, Ky., and James Elmer Cook of Bowling Green. Funeral was Monday, Jan. 21 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Bro. Bob Cutler officiated. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery.
