She was the daughter of the late John Rogers and Clemmie Matney of Hart County. She was a former member of the Reid's Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church until its union with the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Campbellsville, and the widow of Joe N. Smith. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Eudora Smith. She is survived by two granddaughters; Judy Rinehart, Louisville, and Norma Long, Indianapolis; three great-grandsons. and five great-granddaughters, Roger Nelson, Illinois, Mark Rinehart, Indiana, James Rinehart, Louisville, Margie Martin, Lora Long and Bobbie Jo Long, all of Indiana, Debbie Dickens, Burksville, and Melissa Aaron, Louisville; six great-great-grandchildren and four great-great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral was at 1 p! .m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, 1992, at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Brookside Cemetery. The Rev. Ron Ferree officiated.
